VISCI studied chemical engineering, but computers and the internet had already captured my attention. At university I explored security and taught myself how to build personal websites.
Starting with a personal domain
My first site lived on a subdomain bought from another student. I later registered visc.cn, chose the name VISC, and built a personal homepage with static HTML and a third-party guestbook. It was simple, but it was the first time I put an idea online.
From design to internet operations
My route into the internet industry was not direct. I worked in design, learned Photoshop, moved into frontend work, and wrote HTML and CSS. I later studied SEO, user experience, SEM, and internet operations. Each stage taught me more about how a product is discovered, understood, and used.
AI brought the product dream closer
I had tried to learn backend programming many times, but knowing websites and operations was not enough to build a complete product alone. Tools such as Cursor, Trae, ChatGPT, and Codex changed that distance.
I am still far from the final result, but no longer limited to imagining it. I can now take a product from a real problem through interface and flow to an actual launch.
