Scope

This notice applies to data processed when you visit the VISC website at www.visc.cn. Independent products, third-party websites, and external resources linked from this site are operated separately and are not covered by this notice.

Account information

When you create an account, the site collects your email address and stores a salted hash of your password. Necessary session cookies keep you signed in. Account, session, and course-access records are stored in PostgreSQL. Plain-text passwords are not stored.

The site currently does not provide comments, favorites, user uploads, on-site payment, or a contact form. Registration does not request a phone number, identity document, or payment information.

Access logs and analytics

The web server may record technical information such as IP address, access time, requested path, browser information, referrer, and response status for security, troubleshooting, and operations.

Baidu Analytics and Google Analytics 4 load only on the production domain. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to provide aggregated usage statistics. You may restrict or clear cookies and block third-party scripts in your browser without affecting access to the main public content.

Necessary cookies

Login cookies are used only for authentication and course access. The current device session is removed when you sign out. Disabling necessary cookies prevents sign-in and course-account features from working.

Email contact

If you contact VISC by email, your email address, message, and attachments are used to respond and maintain necessary communication records. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Retention and security

Account information is retained while the account remains active. Sessions expire according to server settings or are removed at sign-out. Course-access records may be kept for delivery and support. Security logs are periodically cleared according to operational needs.

HTTPS, security headers, access controls, and dependency updates are used to reduce risk, but no internet transmission or third-party service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children. A child sending personal information by email should do so with the guidance of a parent or guardian.

Your choices and contact

To ask about or request deletion of account or email information, use the contact page. Aggregated, anonymized, or otherwise non-identifiable analytics may not be traceable to an individual visitor.
